THU 17th of August

The chains of habit are too weak to be felt until they are too strong to be broken.

Benny knew it, I didn’t so we woke up in the morning with positive atmosphere all over the place. It might have been the excellent bread or the porridge (save your breath to cool your porridge) which by the way is a word that doesn’t exist in Spanish. It exists in Samppa language and that makes our language much more powerful and even more important. Me and Antti went to see if Benny was feeling ok. He had a good night sleep and it was time for us to take him to the doctor. We went to 2 places and both said the same thing: ” I can put a dick in my mouth if I want to, but I don’t want to, but you…”. Déjà vu all over again. Latvian doctors weren’t very smart so we decided to start driving and once again expect the worst, hope for the best, and take what comes. During our desperate search for a good doctor, Wheel of Dharma got lost in the city. Which meant that we were late, again. It took some time before we were all on the same page, but when it happened it was time to move on, or so we thought. We said goodbye to Ainars and all the other nice people we met and were on our way. This trip was getting more weird. New ways of getting high: take some cow poo straight after it has come out of a cow’s ass, put it in the plastic bag, make a small hole in it, inhale the fumes through a straw and you're done. It was something we all desperately needed. Benny took that advice literally and it didn’t take too long for him to pass out again. Benny lost control of his third and fourth gear and passed out just after the Hesburger. Maybe there was some kind of a portal that took us back to Finland, anyway, things were starting to slip out of our reach. Luckily we found our way back to another Latvian shaman who was very aware of what was going on. Benny was suffering of some kind of illusions and they knew the medicine that would help Benny back to his feet. They could get it tomorrow, they said.

Vilnius just wasn't an option for Frivolvol. We said goodbye to Antti as he jumped in to the Wheel of Dharma van, and wished them good luck for the gig. Me, Samppa, Matte and Benny, our loyal brother in the night, were on our way Back to Riga and Ainars' house. It wasn’t the thing that any of us wanted the most, still there was no other option. There was only a girl and her dog welcoming us at Ainars' apartment. It didn’t stop us of making our selves home. Later after Ainars arrived we went to meet his friend who seemed to be really happy for seeing us or maybe it was the heavy dose of drugs he'd done. Either way, he was happy and that’s enough for me. We watched some psychedelic videos that looked like someone had been under the same doseage for quite a while. We also argued about the turtle riding a gun on the wall of the happy guy's bedroom and Yin and Yang. The concepts of yin and yang originate in ancient Chinese philosophy and metaphysics, which describes two primal opposing but complementary forces found in all things in the universe. Yin, is sad, the darker element, is passive, dark, feminine, downward-seeking, and corresponds to the night; Yang, is happy, the brighter element, is active, light, masculine, upward-seeking and corresponds to the day; yin is often symbolized by water, while yang is symbolized by fire. One cannot exist without the other. For example, day cannot exist without night. Light can't exist without darkness. But if you keep the night away by doing drugs, I think you're cheating.

At 2 AM we walked through Riga and stopped to eat some veggies. Some things felt clearer, if anything is clear in this world. Samppa language doesn’t contain words like racism, fascism, violence or massacre. Also, the first sentence saw the light of day: Mööbli (touch your ear) Mööbli, samppa sticlu un spogulu.
